We started off with a show (amphitheater) where different animals were introduced (under dimmed lighting) and were given a quick insight as to their nature and habitat.
At one stage they put 3 dustbins on the dirt “stage” and then spread plastic bottles, cola cans, and paper cups around. Three animals came in but I didn't quite get their species but they were in the Weasel family.
Anyway, they each took their own bottle/can/cup and put them into the correct dustbins. This was a sort of message in “keep your planet clean” ... "if animals can do it, we can do it"
At one stage they took someone from the audience and introduced him to a huge snake ... a fully grown Python. The Python was then wrapped around his neck and boby and then all of a sudden all the lights went out (part of the show) ... there were a few screams from the audience but the guy wrapped in the Python kept his cool.
We finished off with the actual night safari. It took about 30 to 45 min and was really interesting (I was glad of the fact that it was cooler during the journey) … it has been really hot all day (and every day)
HOMEWARD JOURNEY:
I received an SMS from work Saturday morning warning me that my flight had been cancelled from SIN (Luckily I left in time as there was a flight where I had 50 minutes to reach the gate. Made it in good time.
But … as I arrived well ahead of time in BKK that meant that I had to wait 7 hours for my flight to CPH (Copenhagen). Although the new airport is a “shopper’s paradise” … it wasn't really me and then 7 hours is a long time.b The flight BKK / CPH took 12 hours.
The flight left on time and arrived CPH on time. I took the intercity connection (train) from CPH to
I arrived at our summer house around 14:30 hrs on the Sunday. Went in for a rest at 16:00 hrs and first woke up at 09:30 the next morning … must be getting old (no comments please).
To round this trip off, I would like to express my thanks to Rene and his Family – Susanne, Ronja, and Thorbjørn for taking the time and showing me around
fantastic City … THANKS J
